Ladies Closing Day

The RCWGA Ladies Day tournament season has come to a close. Both 18 and 9 holers played a Shamble format followed by dinner where results and season awards were announced. A special shoutout was given to Paul, Matt, Eric, Eddie, Chef, Jillian, Mona, Parish and all of the crew that worked hard to give us fun and successful events.

After the announcements all the Ladies offered a generous applause to Mary Ann Newman for all of her work and dedication getting 'stuff' done! Thank you Mary Ann and Lillian for steering the RCWGA this past year

Congratulations to the 2023 Ladies 2-Day Member Guest winners - Dale Murphy and Carrie Strumski! In the final shootout, Dale hit her shot to the green on the 1st hole to about 2 feet and Carrie made the putt to seal the deal. Nice 2 ladies

Congratulations to Team Europe for winning the Ladies 9-Holer Solheim Cup!

The Ridge Club ladies SHOWED UP to play thier last match at Segregansett CC and moved from 3rd place to WINNERS of the WGAM 4th Cup Spring Team matches. Diane Ducie, Kate Hutchinson, Rebecca Putnam, Sarah Robinson (not shown) and Seana Gaherin all won their matches to secure the win by 1.5 points! All played great through the season with help from subs Mary Ann Newman and Lauren Kleinas. Congrats girls!!!

Ladies Closing Day Dinner

The weather didn't hold out for the golf portion of Ladies Closing Day but the RCWGA still held the annual dinner and announcements. The evening was well represented by both 18-holers and 9-holers who enjoyed an evening buffet and good mingling. The RCWGA had a little surprise for our own Cathy Pavlas who has been at the Ridge Club from the very beginning - Happy (early) Birthday Cathy <3

The evening finished with announcements, recognition and huge appreciation for the Ridge staff for all they do for us.

Ridge Ladies win Spring Team Cup!

Congratulations to our own WGAM Spring Team for clinching the win today at Duxbury CC. The team had dominated each week but Acushnet was creeping up behind them and only a few points back. In today's matches our ladies prevailed and solidified the win. Congrats to Diane Ducie, Rebecca Putnam, Kate Hutchinson, Seana Gaherin, Mary Ann Newman, Betsy Oakes, Karen Burns and Sarah Robinson for playing well through the season and winning the coveted WGAM pin.
